The following charts provide some useful ways to think about the settings in the ImageLabs Editor.

1. Strength and Attention do not oppose each other; they are orthogonal to each other.

Imagine Red as the AI's creative intention (Strength), and Blue is yours (Attention). Mixing them together will give you some shade of purple or magenta. There are 100 slightly-but-distinctly different possible places to find a seed. Depending on what you're trying to accomplish with the editor, you're going to find your “sweet spot” in different places on this grid.

2. What that Strength actually accomplishes depends on what MODE you're in.

In Reference Style Mode, Strength dictates the amount of data drawn from the Reference Image:

While in Image-to-Image Mode, Strength dictates the amount of creative distance you get away from the Reference Image:
